On January 23, the transmission department of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group held its first work conference in 2009. Established the "Premium Engineering Year" activity.

In 2008, the annual output of the transmission department reached 50,000 units and quickly became a new force in the transmission industry. The mass production of AMT's automatic transmission of heavy-duty gearboxes has created a precedent for domestic heavy-duty automatic transmissions.

Pan Shujun, general manager of the gearbox department, summed up the work in 2008, carefully analyzed the current situation, stressed the need to further unify ideas, strengthen confidence, put the “Excellence Engineering Year” campaign well underway, and pay close attention to the implementation of various measures to improve overall performance. The level will lay a solid foundation for the successful completion of all tasks in 2009 and the realization of China's first-rate and world-class goals.

The meeting also conducted group discussions. The participants discussed the contents of the two report documents thoroughly. After the discussion, they formed written opinions and suggestions and reported to the meeting. Party Secretary, Union Chairman, and Disciplinary Committee Secretary Chua Zhisen summed up the meeting and demanded that they conscientiously study and implement the spirit of the report and come up with concrete measures to maintain the entrepreneurial passion and drive, implement the various tasks of the transmission department, and establish a sense of quality.
