Wang Weiliang predicted that in the next two to three years, the development environment of diesel passenger vehicles in China will be greatly improved and will usher in relatively good development opportunities. The proportion of diesel vehicles in passenger cars should reach 5% to 10%. With the approach of fuel consumption in the fourth stage and implementation of the National Five standard, the proportion of diesel engines in SUV and MPV applications will gradually increase, and it is expected to reach 30% in the future.

With more than 10 years of preparation, clean diesel technology has provided historical opportunities for development. In this regard, Wang Weiliang believes that from the perspective of controlling emissions, new diesel passenger vehicles can significantly reduce particulate emissions, nitrogen oxides, and carbon dioxide emissions. Compared with gasoline vehicles, diesel vehicles can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 15%. Even on this figure, the diesel engine has the possibility of further reduction. Therefore, mature clean diesel technology can fully meet the national five emission standards. In addition, diesel vehicles have great potential for reducing fuel consumption, and their fuel consumption is even more pronounced on medium- and higher-grade diesel cars. “The continuous development and progress of clean diesel technology is a practical and feasible solution to help passenger vehicles meet the fourth stage fuel consumption and achieve the country's five emission standards.” Wang Weiliang said Bosch will continue to increase investment, is committed to helping local customers meet the continuous upgrading Emissions and fuel consumption standards.
