MasterCAM milling tool library setting method

I. Introduction

The processing parameters of MasterCAM's various processing methods, including the realization of cutting parameters, are all set in the form of dialog boxes. MasterCAM provides metric, imperial and total 6 tool libraries for milling. The basic tools are included in the tool library. When setting the machining parameters, the cutting parameters are automatically entered in the dialog box after calling the tool in the tool library. However, in actual use, we found that the provided cutting parameters, such as the feed rate of each axis of the tool, the tool picking speed, and the spindle speed, do not meet the actual conditions of the existing tool in the workshop. At the same time, it does not reflect the tools owned by the tool shop in the workshop. The basic situation, in the use of each item must be set. The following discusses the establishment of the MasterCAM milling tool library to create a tool library suitable for workshop use.

Second, the basic structure of the tool library and setting method

1. Milling tool magazine structure and setting rules

The tool magazine is composed of a tool magazine specification and a number of individual tool description sections. Each description section is composed of 9 rows. The tool is specifically described. The individual tool description sections are separated by an empty description section. The following is a detailed description of each line.

(1) Commentary of the tool magazine Description Each line of the comment explanation begins with #, followed by explanation statements, including the creation date of the tool magazine, setting method, and the meaning of each parameter. Such as # tool library format MonJan1414:51:192002.

(2) Composition of the tool description section The tool description section consists of 9 lines. The first line starts with TOOL, indicating that the tool definition begins, the line number must be marked, and followed by "", separated by a space between them. The result is: 1 - TOOL, the following lines are the same as this line. The second line shows the material of the tool. The system specifies the materials for the figures as follows: 1-HSS, 2-CARBIDE, 3-COATEDCAR, 4-CERAMIC, 5-BORZON, and 10-UNKNOWN. Fill in. The third line explains the tool. Line 4 specifies the tool name. Line 5 specifies the tool manufacturer. Line 6 specifies the tool chuck. Line 7 specifies the tool parameters. According to tool number, tool type, radius type, diameter, tool nose radius crad, thread head thds, tool nose angle, radius compensation, tool length compensation, XY feedrate, Z-axis feedrate, tool pick-up rate, spindle speed The parameters of each tool are specified in order of the coolant, the number of blades, and the parameters are separated by a space. 0 can be used without a decimal point. Line 8 specifies the tool drilling and milling properties. Drilling properties include the following: cycle type cycle, first knife depth peck1, remaining knife depth peck2, safety clearance peckclr, cutting retraction amount chipbrk, dwell time dwell, shoulder angle shldrangle, thread diameter rootdia (tap), Boring offset boreshift. Milling properties include the following: Applicable cutting shape cutable (roughing, finishing, or both), roughing step rghx (specified by tool diameter percentage), roughing step rghz, finishing step finx, fine Processing step finz, tip angle tipdia, root diameter of the cutter rootdia (thread milling cutter), tip angle thdangle. The 9th line specifies the chuck and tool geometry parameters, center diameter of the hole at the cutter edge pilotdia, cutting edge length flutene, knife length oalen, edge length shldrlen, holder diameter arbordia, chuck diameter hldrdia, chuck length hldrlen, spindle rotation direction spindleccw , Speed sfm (line speed), fpt per blade, measurement method metric.

It must be noted that all tool settings must include 9 lines and the "TOOL" header. If not marked, spaces must be used instead of content.

(3) All information in the description section of each parameter (such as tool type, tool cutting capacity, tool radius, coolant type, spindle rotation direction, machining cycle, etc.) should follow the relevant regulations.

2. Milling tool library setting method

(1) The establishment of the basic tool library In the mill-tools directory, the system has established the basic graphics of common tools. We can use it to build a basic tool library.

1) Use Notepad to create a text file (*.TXT), add the tool parameters to the file in the specified format, and save the file in the C:-Mcam8-mill-tools directory. The naming rules for the file names are in accordance with the usual rules, such as Slider.txt.

2) Run Mill8. In the main menu, click "NC Management" -> "Define Tool" -> "Database". In the tool management dialog box that appears, click the right mouse button. In the shortcut menu, click "Generate Tool Library by Text." ” If you open the Read dialog box, specify the text file slider.txt that you generated, press OK, and the path dialog of the specified saved tool library appears. Name the slider and confirm.

3) Save slider.txt and slider.tl8 to the C:-Mcam8-Mill-Tools directory (assuming the software is installed in the C:-Mcam8 directory).

4) Call the tool library when it is used.

(2) The establishment of a custom tool

1) Draw the half-cut image of the tool and store it in the C:-MCAM8-MILL-TOOLS directory. The length of the x-direction radius is plotted as 1 mm.

2) In the main menu, click “NC Management” → “Define Tool” → “Current” to open the tool management dialog. Right-click “Create New Tool” in the shortcut menu to open the Define Tool Box and specify the diameter.

3) Click the Customize button in the Tool Types tab.

4) Click the "Select" button in the "Parameter tab" to select the previously saved tool and save it.

5) If you want to save to the magazine, select "savetolibrary".

(3) Use effect When actual machining, the cutting method can be selected according to the existing tool in the workshop, and the inapplicability of the NC program is eliminated. When the parameter setting of the tool path is performed, the parameters of the tool part no longer have to be redefined and the tool is reduced. The parameter setting time.

CPF-X wall-mounted Chlorine Dioxide Generator is a new type of small chlorine dioxide generating system which is suitable for the secondary water supply and the situations that need small capacity of chlorine dioxide. It has functions of flow rate/ residual chlorine dioxide on-line control, linkage running with water pump, giving low liquid level alarm of raw materials, remote start / stop control and uploading the working states and alarm signals; and giving acoustic and optical failure alarm etc.
