On October 10, Astana News, October 10-12, held the "Tenth Meeting of the Sino-Kazakhstan Transport Cooperation Sub-Committee" in Wuhan. During the meeting, the two sides jointly studied the cooperation issues in the future transportation fields of the two countries and signed the "Protocol on Establishing an International Automobile Transportation License System." The signing of the protocol marks that the two countries will establish a comprehensive supervision system for freight and passenger transportation on the basis of mutual benefit and win-win. In addition, the meeting also studied the issues of “building the Silk Road Economic Belt” and the “Guangming Road” strategy, and conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation in the transportation field.
It is reported that in 2015, the cargo volume between China and Kazakhstan was 729,000 tons, and the average annual growth rate in the past five years was 7.4%. In the first half of 2016, the cargo volume between the two countries was 328,000 tons.
