Denso Group plans to spend USD 1 billion to expand North America business within four years

In January 2013, the global auto parts supplier Denso announced that it will spend US$1 billion to expand its business in North America in the next four years. This plan will generate 2,000 new manufacturing jobs.

As part of this investment plan, Denso plans to invest US$750 million in the United States and recruit 1,200 employees, of which US$150 million will be used to expand its technology center and a manufacturing plant in Michigan, where it will be located. 400 additional employees. According to Terry Helgesen, senior vice president of industry relations at Denso Group, “Last year, we announced that we will fully implement localized production in our business areas.
