The reporter recently learned that the new engine plant of Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile will be laid on the 9th of next month and will produce three 1.6L, 1.8L, and 2.0L engines. The technology of these engines comes from the Dongfeng Group's Dragon Motors and will be carried on Its Lingzhi, King Plaza SUV and King Plaza S50 three series models.

On June 6, Liu Weidong, deputy general manager of the passenger vehicle business of Dongfeng Automobile and Tong Dongcheng, the commercial vehicle operator, attended the kick-off meeting of the engine project in Liuzhou. On July 9th, Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile will celebrate its 60th anniversary. As the Dongfeng Group’s “gift” to Dongfeng Liuzhou Auto, the engine plant will officially start construction.

Made "core" technology from Dragon Group

Shenlong Company is one of the first batch of three passenger car manufacturing and manufacturing industrial bases planned and constructed according to economic scale. It is estimated that Dongfeng Liu Auto's self-produced 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.0L “Self-core” will be carried in its three major series of vehicles in the future, including Lingzhi, Jingyi Sedan, and Jingyi SUV. In addition, popular CM7 will not be equipped with its own production engine because it uses 2.4L and 2.0T engines.
